The University of Oregon extends a number of its services to you during your retirement. These benefits are offered in appreciation of the years of service you have devoted to the University. The following summary was prepared by Human Resources for your use. We hope you will enjoy the services available. Please call the phone numbers listed for additional information.
You will be eligible to enroll in classes at the University (space permitting) at staff rates if your last FTE on record is .50 or greater. You may enroll in the maximum number of credit hours. The staff rate applies only if you are taking a class for credit. You may audit a class at no charge, but the instructor's consent is required and registration is on a space-available basis. Retirees are not eligible to transfer their staff rates to a family member. Please contact Human Resources at 346-3159 to obtain staff fee rates and forms.
You will be eligible for a staff discount rate on season tickets for all sports. Tickets may be obtained by contacting the Athletic Dept. Ticket Manager at 346-4461.
You will continue to be eligible for book discounts if you present your ID card at the time of purchase. Contact the bookstore at 346-4331 if you have questions.
If you wish to continue working on a craft or learn a new craft after you
retire, you may do this through the ERB Memorial Union
Craft Center . The center has facilities available in a number of areas
including ceramics, graphics, jewelry, photography, fibers and woodworking.
You may join the Craft Center at staff rates as long as you have your ID card.
The center will send you a mailing of all classes offered each term if you
request the list, or on an ongoing basis if are you participating in the
classes. For information on fees and classes call the Craft Center at
346-4361.
Classified employees may contact the Computing Center to make arrangements to continue their email account, including access to the web, if interested. Call 346-1738.
As a retiree, you are entitled to receive an ID card. Take your current card to the Photo ID Program office in the ERB Memorial Union, Room 12, 346-3113.
Retirees who have a valid ID card are eligible for the same privileges as regular staff. For more information, please contact University of Oregon Library Systems .
Alumni of the University will automatically receive the Oregon Quarterly. Anyone who has made a donation of $100 or more to the University will also receive the Oregon Quarterly for up to three years from the date of the donation. If you do not fall into one of the above categories and wish to receive the Oregon Quarterly you may mail your name and address along with a $10.00 check payable to "UO Foundation: for the Oregon Quarterly" to:

This will help cover postage, and the Oregon Quarterly will be mailed to you for at least one year. Call Oregon Quarterly at 346-5046 if you have questions.
Retirees who are not employed by the UO can apply for and receive a parking permit without charge. Retirees who return to work and are employed at the UO are required to pay for their parking permits during the periods they work. Contact the Department of Public Safety at 346-5444 to obtain a parking permit.
Student Recreation Center Membership
Retired faculty and staff who wish a membership at the Student Recreation Center (SRC) are required to make a modest co-payment per term or per year toward your membership. Please check with the SRC for current co-payment amount.
You may use the wide variety of indoor and outdoor recreational facilities available throughout campus for this co-payment and are also eligible to rent a locker in either the SRC or Gerlinger Hall at the regular faculty and staff rate. You must present your validated ID card at the Main Desk of the SRC to purchase your membership. If you have any questions please call Physical Education and Recreation (PE&Rec) at 346-1043.
Reduction of Out-of-State Moving Expenses
The University has made arrangements with a number of cross-continental moving companies to give you discounts of 35 to 40 percent on your moving expenses. For more information please refer to the memo on Interstate Discounted Moving Price Agreements.

During fall term, you may obtain flu shots at the Student Health Center at a reduced rate. For fees and information, call 346-4443.
Season ticket discounts are available if you order early. A senior citizen discount is available for both individual and season ticket purchases. Call the box office at 346-4191 for more information.
- REMINDER -
The State of Oregon agreement with US Bank Visa requires that the cards be used only for University of Oregon related business. Because your employment is terminating, you will have to relinquish your US Bank Visa card. You may either destroy it or return it to Accounts Payable, Oregon Hall. Please do not try to use your card as it will be canceled.
